Michele De Lucchi’s Tolomeo lamp, designed in 1987 with the collaboration of Artemide’s head of R&D, Giancarlo Fassina, was honoured with the Compasso d’Oro award in 1989, gaining worldwide recognition for the perfect marriage of design and engineering.

Since then, the Tolomeo collection has grown to include a range of sizes and styles, each featuring a heavy base and a fully adjustable pivoting head.
